under construction

I ended up switching to the newer blogger layout format for this blog after all. (Okay, so it was a mistake - I was playing and accidentally closed the tab that was saving my old template settings for me. Oops.) I'm still gathering old links and such since I lost that info in my little mistake, and will be tinkering with the layout until I decide I'm entirely happy with how everything looks. I feel like even though they made things user friendly with the whole drag and drop template thing, you lose some control. The limited amount of html I learned when I started this thing is not helping me to get things customized how I would like. Hopefully I'll figure everything out since it seems like there's no going back now. o.O

So yeah, please bear with me while I'm under construction. Oh, and feel free to send any advice/opinions my way. And don't be sad if I don't have your blog link back up yet - I still love you, I'm just still finding all of those things.
Feel free to poke me if you don't see yours - reminders are a good thing. :) My brain is fairly mushy at times. :p It definitely is right now. I was up all night trying to sort this stuff out. I'm still missing so many little things. :( I'll be at it again once I've had some sleep.

...Okay, most people expect that in college I was either in an English or photography program. I always thought I'd go into graphic arts, but when the opportunity came for me to go back to school I landed in the LIT program. (Library Information Technician. Not MLS - I didn't want to be a librarian, just a tech.) My favorite aspect was doing the coding for the computer cataloging system. I've always loved libraries - they're quiet, full of info on anything you can possibly be interested in, there are billions of books to devour and people to interact with if you so choose. It was all about organization & helping people. Perfection. :) Oh, and comfy little spots to enjoy all of the above. :) Yeah.
I didn't get to finish though. I landed here instead.
Very interested in: Photography.
Want to do this before I die: Feel like I'm a person my kiddos can be proud of. Take more control of my life, get my American citizenship. See some places. Do some things. :p

I've been meaning to blog all weekend but yeah here I finally am! With the flips from today still uploading I don't have any pics or anything to share. Yet. :)
I did finally update the sidebar pics! (The original pic of me from when I started this thing 5 years ago was still up the at the top - figured it could be updated. lol Was nice to update the kiddos too. :) Much better.)
Did a simple little new banner while I was at it. Yay me!

5 little monkeys

Okay, so it's just one little monkey, but he's turning 5 today. :)Elijah says he wants to be a superhero when he grows up, because he wants to help people, fly & wear a uniform. He's got some moves, that's for sure. And he's already got the super-awesomeness down and helps me all of the time.
He just needs a uniform & some flying lessons. :)I so love my little monkey. :)

Nine

Instead of dragging LV off to do a quickie photo shoot for this birthday post I just grabbed a shot of him doing something he loves. :)He's just as adorable playing games on Vern's computer as he would be anywhere else. :) I love this little boy and his beautiful chocolate brown eyes. Hoping he has the most awesome day ever.

It was beautiful here today!

Elijah got his "new teeth" cemented in today. He's adjusting well and is as cute as ever. By the time he crashed tonight he was talking normal. lol :)
I went for two walks today. I took Elijah on a date to Arby's for being brave & Kirsten to get her friend a birthday present.
...now Kirsten's off seeing Alice in Wonderland tonight without me. :p

Got some cuddles in with Maiah and a great nap though. (Thanks Brandon!)
Ooh, I tried a raspberry 3 musketeers today. Yum!

Yeah, not a bad day. :)

Maiah flips :)

Lauren's right, my blog does need updated pics of all my kiddos. I've been really wanting to get some pics of Maiah up - it's been entirely too long. First I have to take some - with the sickies and such I haven't pushed hard to get any pics of late. I do have some little flips of her I can share though, just to get a dose of her on here. :)

I'm trying youtube instead of directly uploading to blogger to see if it's faster/easier at all.
