So I took these pics of Kirsten yesterday at 6 am - before she headed off to school. She's rockin' the vampire thing this year for Halloween. Not bad for a last minute trip to Walgreens for some costume goodies. :)

Monday morning...

Maiah hasn't been letting me sleep much lately. I had maybe 5 hours total all weekend. Last night was particularly rough. I maybe got an hour in - every time I moved away from her she'd start screaming within a minute. Not sure what's up, but yeah, I'm tired & not seeing straight.

Vern's still walking like an 80 year old with his pinched nerve. He stayed home from work today because he's not handling being away from a heating pad very well. He says he thinks it's getting better though, and I hope so - he can't call in owie forever & would look funny attached to his little heading pad at work.

Little Vern is enjoying his first day off track. Looks like B is going to sleep in way late again, so LV has free reign on Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds & Assassins Creed. He's one happy little boy. lol
(Funny story - I mentioned how I haven't slept much at all lately, right. Well the other morning I came down & read Julie's response on here & burst out crying in a panic because she said she had 6 words for me & then named my 5 children. My poor tired brain recognized that the math was right as far as the six words went & was trying to figure out where the heck the 6th child came from. O.o LV is in need of a single-word nickname. lol) I also read the initial deleted response, which meant a bunch through those panicked tears. Love you for that Julie, simplified edit & all. :)

Well, I'd like to say that I'm off to work in PS, but can't just yet. Maiah's soggy, hungry & needs warmer clothes. (It's all freezy-like down here. Brrr...) Then maybe if my 3 at-home kiddos will let me, I'll have me some un-interrupted afternoon to dedicate to pics. And maybe a nap. If they let me. :p

Hooray for Friday!

Okay, so I really don't have anything to say this morning. I'm still so tired, and have to get ready to run to the store. Fun fun! Oh, and I have to find clothes for a naked Ej - he wants to come with Maiah and I. :) (My little cuteness saw me typing and asked if I was making a grocery list. lol) So yeah, just a slow start for the day here.

Before I head out, gotta send a very big thank you to Dawn for being willing to take a stab my question from the last post. I didn't think that I'd get many bites on a question like that - so I'm grateful she was willing. Things have settled down again, so I'll just say that WoW & all things WoW related, including my WoW friends (woohoo, I said it three times!) is not, in any way more important to me than Maiah. (Just ask those same friends who see me in-game much less, in fact pretty much only for raids since my sweet babe was born.)Now, there is a distinct thread of the game mentioned through this whole blog. I am so okay with that. I'm also okay with being the mom to a babe who doesn't like me sitting here very much. (I'm not sure Kenyon is, but that's a different story. lol) But yeah, there you go. I love Maiah. Every minute of every day. I play WoW. Sometimes. I do love my WoW friends too. Just not as much as Maiah, or any of my kiddos. Or pudding for that matter. lol :)
And on that note I'm off to the store. :p

curiosity and a bunch of yumminess

I'm all unsure what to say at the moment, so I'm just going to put this out there...

Vern has informed me that judging by the things I talk about here my priorities are all horribly crazy. He actually had me read back and count how many times I mentioned certain things to try and make a point. The point wasn't clearly made at all, but yeah. I still say he's wrong and he still says some things are more important to me than he thinks they should be.
So are there any of my blog readers out there willing to take a look over more than just the first page of this thing & take a stab at telling me what their impression is of what's important to me? I'm totally curious now about what kind of impression people get when they walk away from here. There's so much that I don't say - I wonder if there is something to the things I do chose to write about. Oh, pictures and stuff count too. He had me counting everything. His impression just seemed so out there to me, and so far from what I feel when I write that I'm way curious now. And a little bit tentative about talking at all, since apparently everything I've ever felt or written in all these years is fair game when he feels like picking a fight. :p
Yeah, if you get any sort of impression at all about me & what's important to me I'd love to hear what other people think. :p

And on a completely different (and important! lol) note, I need to put some videos up for my viewing pleasure. I was looking up the lyrics for Daughtry's no surprise & stumbled on this vid of Chris singing a cover of Lady Gaga's poker face. (Ok, so I completely can't stand that chick, so I've avoided hearing this song at all costs in the past, but wow just, wow - I could watch a video like this of Chris Daughtry all day long. For days on end.) Mmmm... yeah. I even found myself singing it on the way to the store today, so I guess the song has some merit too. As long as it's gaga-free. lol :) I'm also sharing a live performance of No Surprise since that's what got me on my current Chris kick in the first place, and a third live/unplugged version of What About Now that he did for AI gives back a couple years ago. (I watched a bunch of vids from his AI days too - how did I forget that he covered Broken & Hemorrhage? He always chose awesome songs and had the best performances. No wonder I loved him even back then. :))

Now to see if photoshop will work for me today so I can get some stuff done whilst Maiah naps. I had to clear a bunch of stuff off my hard drive this past week to try to get ps to run properly, and then yesterday it just flat out wasn't working. After a whole lot of freaking out and praying it decided to behave last night, so I'm on a kick to spend every waking moment I can finishing things up before it or my computer decides to die on me. Yeah. Wish me luck! :)

Saturday

So yeah, I slept in again. It's a good thing I have kids, or lately all I'd ever do is sleep. Being awake seems so hard sometimes, especially when coming from a comfy bed & a good dream. :p

My day, as always, revolved mostly around Maiah's needs. She happened to need lots of extra time today, so I didn't accomplish much.
Except I did get to go for a walk.
And on a date with Elijah.
And to the store with Vern.
And worked out 'til my quads felt like jello.
And I thought about a lot of things. But mostly pudding.
So I did accomplish something I guess.
While she slept. :)
Oh, after our date and my workout Ej & I spent a few minutes with the camera.
Is he adorable or what? And he handles my camera (which is as big as his head) pretty well. He's so my boy. :) And I'm so crazy to be sharing a pic of me today all sweaty & stuff, but yeah. This is me at this point in my life - working so hard to find myself, trying to like what I see and finding solace in working out. Like I always have. :) Some things never change. Some things do though, and that can really suck. lol But I am so gonna get where I wanna be. Rawr.

Today I...

...slept in as long as my kiddos would let me. It was nice.
...had a piece of the pumpkin pie I made last night for breakfast. mmmm
...threw on my jeans & hoodie & took Maiah for a walk. It was so beautiful out again. :)
...fell asleep cuddling with Maiah and Elijah. Yeah, I've been tired of late.
...helped Vernie with his homework.
...checked on my e-mail & blog way too many times. I'm not sure what I was looking for but I'm thinking I didn't find it since the compulsion to check in is still there.
...found a long lost friend's e-mail addy & used it.
...e-mailed my sister again too. :)
...growled back at Maiah and tickled Elijah. :)
...watched 10 things I hate about you again. It's one of those movies I watch over & over. Now this song is stuck in my head...Couldn't decide between the final scene, or random scenes from the movie so I'm sharing both.Well, that song & shooting star, thanks to last nights episode of SYTYCD.
...am considering having hot chocolate & whipped cream for dinner. I'm not hungry, but that sounds good. :p (everyone else is having chicken & rice)
...smacked Vern on the arm for "appreciating" watching me run across the street so that a waiting truck could go. He said the guy in the truck looked appreciative too. :p
...updated the program I needed so that I can finish up wedding pics once and for all. With everything this past week I haven't been able to work on them in days again. :(
...am hoping that our planned raid night happens tonight. I haven't had WoW time in forever either.
...am still tired & thinking that another nap sounds good. Well, after my hot chocolate and before WoW/photoshop time.

I thought I was doing so well at handling not feeling wanted or needed anywhere tonight until Maiah woke up & looked at me like "who are you" after not seeing me for almost 2 days. :p (I had some rare play time that I ended up cutting short thinking I was needed here, and I was greeted with a harsh "why are you here?" and a soundly sleeping babe. It was her first time being without me for more than a few hours and she did so awesome!) I knew she'd be fine, but did think she might be happy to see me. lol B's hugs and her letting me steal some cuddles even though she looked confused were awesome though. :)

so yesterday

...was mine & Vern's 13th anniversary.
We celebrated last night by um, going grocery shopping when he got home from work at like 11 pm?!
We made up for that today with a little shopping trip & dinner at Johnny Carino's. It was so totally yummy. :)
We took LV to his friend's baptism before heading out for the afternoon, and tonight has been spent getting the kiddos' computer back up & running. A fun but busy day all in all. I think I might end my day with my leftovers from lunch. Or maybe a pineapple smoothie. Or maybe both! Mmmm...

So proud!

LV finally got his front tooth out yesterday! It was a cap that had been loose forever. I mean, like over a year. He's so happy! Go Vernie! :)I'm really proud of our little raid group too - we finished Ulduar on Sunday! Go us! :)
I couldn't get a perfect angle and people were moving, but I think between the two shots you can see everyone.

Well, I think the kiddos are almost done being sick. Yay! Maybe I'll get some sleep & real computer time some time soon. :p

sleepless

Maiah & Elijah both have some sort of stomach bug. They've both needed lots of cuddles & neither of them are eating or sleeping very well. Good thing it's my job to take care of 'em since I've been unable to sleep well myself. I've had this horrid headache off and on for over a week now. It comes & goes in intensity, but really has been making my nights rather sleepless.
...Not that I'd be sleeping anyway, sandwiched between my two little ones who spend their nights tossing & turning - just wanting their mommy.
